If excessive absences are the result of documented, extenuating circumstances, parents/guardians may choose to submit an appeal to the Attendance Appeal Committee.


This semester's deadline to submit an attendance appeal for the SPRING 2022 semester was 3:45 PM Friday, May 13, 2022. The attendance committee will meet on Tuesday, May 31st. Outcome of the committee's decisions will be communicated to parents/guardians via email by administration later that week.  

Students who return for the 2022-2023 school year will have one final opportunity to submit an attendance appeal during the first grading period of the new school year. 

COVID-related absences that have already been excused (AC3/AC4) DO NOT count against students, are NOT included in the calculation of hours needed for credit recovery, and do NOT need to be appealed.


Appeals should address absences that are not COVID-related and appropriate documentation should be attached.  Please contact your student's assigned counselor if you need assistance determining which date(s) your appeal should address.

Appeals should be turned in to the Attendance Office when complete.
