ATTENDANCE POLICY
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires all students to be in attendance 90% of the time a class is offered, regardless of an absence being excused/unexcused. Students who fail to meet the 90% requirement, will lose credit for the course as follows:

-
First Semester- Any student who has 5 or more excused and/or unexcused absences in any course will lose credit for that course.

-
Second Semester- Any student who has 6 or more excused and/or unexcused absences in any course will lose credit for that course.
To recover credit, students must complete attendance recovery outside of the school day (before/after school and/or select Saturday School sessions offered). Students must complete academic work during attendance restoration sessions to receive credit. Students who arrive late/leave early and/or fail to follow instructions will not receive credit.

Alternatively, an appeal can be submitted for absences that are the result of documented, extenuating circumstances.
